Message:Link from Work-Stress Conference 20-11-04. Friendly Fire manifested in Behavioural Apartheid is reaching a critical mass of Collateral Damage to UK Human Resources with up to 60% of employees reporting that they have witnessed coercive or bullying anti-social behaviours in their workplace. No wonder 28% expressed fear of going into work and woudn't if they didn't have to. There are a number of sites collecting info including worklifeline, bullyonline where there is also good library for resource material. Don't forget 1997 Harrassement Act. An injunction keeping a bully away from you woudn't half mess-up workplace desk spacings!

Carry on the good work! Thanks again.

Message:Having suffered at the hands of a single 'human being' for more years than I care to remember, and despite working for a European market leading group employing around 1,000 members of staff for over 27 years, my mental & physical health has now failed me. So has my employers HR dept and my company pension insurance scheme. Your website has given me the confidence and contacts to at least try and challenge my employer in the hope of resolving the lack of legal protection and support I've received, and to hopefully protect others. Thank you.

Message:What a great site. I am a 'new' business that is about to offer IT training (stressful in itself!) plus support via training sessions/coping strategies etc coupled with complementary therapies to small to medium sized businesses. As stress is such a huge problem these days, and convincing companies that they need to take it seriously (namely spend money on their staff!) is difficult. Your site is great. Very informative, easy to navigate, simple and excellent back up for employers and employees. Thanks.

Message:Having done a full service career, I now see management are lacking in the basic skills needed to realise all that the employees are having to deal with. This is compounded when you attempt to voice your concerns, explain you have a disability and have the pressure of then applying to an I.T. to settle the matter. Then you have to endure all they can throw at you for doing what is your right. And this is a government agency, they should be leading by good practice and good examples. The stress at work brings problems into the home and not the other way round as many managers seems to think. It is they who are causing the stress and it is the family who are suffering. This in turn causes the 'Family Breakdown'

Unfortunately, most providers of counseling, psychotherapy or anger management are not trained in stress management. I believe that sites like yours are an excellent resource for providers worldwide.

I am working on developing a 40 hour stress training program for our members. I hope to raise the awareness around the issue of stress related illness in our workplaces in Canada. I was wondering if you have any language that is used in your collective agreement that we could add to our collective agreements here in Canada? Thanks
